Use a jailbroken 1.1.1 or older.
1. Run Oktoprep via Installer
2. UPDATE to 1.1.2 via iTunes, after update leave iPhone connected till iTunes “see it” then close iTunes. Do not use “RESTORE”
3. Jailbreak 1.1.2 using http://conceitedsoftware.com/iphone/1.1.2-jailbreak.zip
Skip step 4 if phone has been unlocked by IPSF
4. Install BSD Subsystem from Installer. Add rep.frenchiphone.com to Installer Source and then install anySIM 1.2.1u from the installer. Put the iPhone in Airplane Mode, run AnySIM1.2.1u, then turn Airplane Mode off and you should get reception.
5. If you’re outside the US. Install iWorld via Installer
