Antec Nine Hundred

New case is pretty damn sweet. Although I replaced all the Antec TriCool fans with Scythe S-FLEX, it still performs great with much lower temperatures over my old Lian Li.

Here’s the cooling setup:

  • Scythe Ninja Rev. B, regular Scythe fan, 1200 RPM, 39 CFM, 20 dBa
  • Top 200 mm fan, 400 RPM, 83 CFM, 24 dBa
  • 2 x Front 120 mm Scythe S-FLEX fan, 800 RPM, 33 CFM, 8.7 dBa
  • Rear 120 mm Scythe S-FLEX fan, 800 RPM, 33 CFM, 8.7 dBA

So I got in total 5 fans in this case including the CPU fan. With the possibility of adding 2 additional case fans and 1 additional CPU fan, this setup is pretty awesome at cooling. Since the top fan is the limiting factor for noise level. It hums quite nicely at 24 dBa. Which is still acceptable from my Lian Li’s 20 dBA. The Antec is steal made so the hard drives don’t vibrate as loudly so I guess it evens out in the end.

  • Temperature for my E6300 Conroe: 37 C idle, 50 C load.
  • Old Lian Li temperatures: 56 C idle, 62 C load.

Highly recommended for anyone who wants a silent cool case.
