Call of Duty: World at War

Just finished the single-player compaign.  I’m not all that impressed anymore. The game excels in its story telling and action but is plagued by its numerous bugs. Most annoying ones are clipping issues with the NPCs. When I duck under cover often a NPC would come along with me and duck in the same positions and lo-behold we both get stuck there until I reload the checkpoint. This happened more than once and is kind of inexcusable in this day and age. Treyarch is no Infinity Ward and it shows through the level of polish. I guess they had a deadline to follow, but I hope they start getting more of their own IPs to work on and stop bowing to the pressure from the publisher to get a game out on time.

There were also an insane amount of grenades thrown. This is not new to the Call of Duty series but it seems like WaW has more grenade spams from the AI than all of the other CoD series combined.

I’m definitely looking forward to the next Call of Duty, it’s only sweeter since it’s a new Inifinity Ward development.
