Cloud scares some people

I haven’t quite thought about it this way but assuming Apple becomes a monopoly and iTunes is a new encompassing DRM manager, as opposed to a media manager. How many people would realize before it’s too late that Apple dominates your life?

iTunes 8.1 DJ

Probably the coolest feature in the latest iTunes 8.1 update. The iPhone/iPod Remote app also received an update that allows registered Remotes on the same WiFi network to queue songs in iTunes for playback. Sort of a DJ system where a party of people can queue up their favorites from their phone/iPod and then have it playback from the playlist.

People participating can also vote on the songs to move up and down by voting.

How to: change the iTunes link arrows functionality

Hate the fact that you can’t disable the iTunes link arrows in the new iTunes 8? I can’t believe Apple took this feature out. Here’s how you can remove them, or better, use them for a different function.

In other news, it seems like Microsoft and Apple are going through a role reversal and very soon Windows 7 will crush OS X once and for all!
